Over the years, when I've won a fellow artists services in auction on a forum, I've given them a request. That request was to create a doll of Jaenelle Angelline from a specific section of text from Anne Bishop's Black Jewels Trilogy. I love seeing what other artists are able to gleen from said text.
The text I give each of them relates to the time right after the Kindred Unicorns are slaughtered by immigrants from the Realm of Terreille who want the land. Jaenelle's kindred brother, Kaetian, is among the dead. But before he dies, he gifts her with his horn. After that Jaenelle dresses for her role as Witch and sings her kindred brother and sisters back to the earth.
